Apotropaic Original Sweatshirt
Apotropaic (adj.)
Greek — from apotrópaios, averting evil; from apo, away, and trepein, to turn. Made or intended to turn harm aside; protective by purpose, carrying the old idea that certain objects, marks, or symbols could stand between their bearer and what was feared.
A seasonal entry for a word shaped by protection, superstition, and the long human instinct to keep darkness at a distance. Released as the archive’s first autumn observance, Apotropaic appears only for the season before returning to obscurity.
Made from 80% organic combed ring-spun cotton and 20% recycled polyester in a relaxed silhouette with a soft brushed fleece interior. Finished with set-in sleeves, ribbed detailing at the collar, cuffs, and hem, and subtle back-neck construction for a clean, polished shape.
Wear the ward.
